One feature of mass media that works to distribute information and specific publications is that of “Syndication”, as web based Journalists we have a duty to assist this process and help people to access content from other writers and producers, syndication is like a buddy system, we acknowledge the merit of fellow journalists and analysts through presenting their work on our own publications. In the spirit of open source web journalism I present InfoWars, a remarkable independent media project founded by Alex Jones over 30 years ago. Alex is an example of American entrepreneurship and media savvy, Jones recognized the enormous opportunity of the World Wide Web very early on, his insights into the great power of multi-media presentations gave him the motivation to bring his analysis to the ordinary folks living in America.

Infowars grew from the radio-based syndication of Alex Jones weekly reports, radio was the first medium Alex chose, and this turned out to be a wise move; it was the gift of the WWW from Tim Berners-Lee back in 1989 that prompted Alex to consider the vast potential of bringing his distinctive, unique insights to the people.
