We as the public are presented with a certain range of information, and of course Statistics make up much of the assertions and conclusions the official world offers us to underpin, and justify the actions and policies they formulate on our behalf.
The trouble is, statistical data can be presented in varying ways, and even manipulated to present exactly which picture, or implication is desired.
One of the more difficult statistics to ‘fudge’ or misrepresent is that of total deaths from all causes; that number is collated from multiple sources, it has fewer ‘filters’ and fewer hands to pass through than the Mean/Meridian/Mode machinations of other results.
